WHO Warns Against 3 Contaminated Cough Syrups in India
- The World Health Organization (WHO) has identified three cough syrups in India that pose significant health risks, potentially causing severe and life-threatening illnesses.
- The syrups include Coldrif from Sresan Pharmaceuticals, Respifresh TR from Rednex Pharmaceuticals, and ReLife from Shape Pharma.
- Tests revealed that Coldrif contained toxic diethylene glycol (DEG) in concentrations nearly 500 times the permissible limit, linked to the deaths of at least 22 children in Madhya Pradesh.
- The Indian authorities have revoked the manufacturing license of Sresan Pharmaceuticals and arrested its owner.

Haryana IPS Officer Death: DGP Sent on Leave
