Article 370: Order reserved on whether matter to be referred to larger bench

SC heard today various pleas challenging the Abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution.

A 5-judge Constitution bench headed by Justice N V Ramana reserved its orders on whether the batch of pleas challenging the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution should be referred to a larger Bench of the Court.

The bench heard multiple pleas challenging the Presidential Orders of Aug 5 and 6 issued under Article 370 of the Constitution which removed the special status granted to JnK.

Guwahati: A total of 644 terrorists of 8 banned insurgent outfits surrendered in Assam along with 177 arms, police said.

Manipur: An improvised explosive device (IED) blast occurred at Nagamapal RIMS road in Imphal West, early morning today.

Pak PM mum over Uighurs issue as China is 'good friend'

Despite the global outcry over China’s treatments of its minorities, Pakistan PM Imran Khan has chosen to remain tight-lipped on deplorable conditions of Uighur Muslims in China, saying Beijing is a “good friend” and has helped Islamabad in “most difficult situations”.
