No much news of India was in media, more discussion over Pak’s incidence in media and politicians.
National
In the Kota incident (see letter of 2nd Jan), dy CM, Sachin Pilot visited Kota hospital and said we just can’t escape by blaming previous Govt, and responsibility must be fixed.
This statement seems somewhat contradictory to CM of Raj.
As per media, Nisar Ahmad Dar has been arrested after a joint operation of CRPF and JnK police.

Post impact of Death Gen. Qassem Soleimani’s
Thousands of mourners chanting “America is the Great Satan” marched in a funeral procession through Baghdad for Iran’s top general and Iraqi militant leaders, who were killed in a U.S. airstrike.
Soleimani was the architect of Iran’s regional policy of mobilizing militias across Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, including in the war against the Islamic State group. He was also blamed for attacks on U.S. troops and American allies going back to the 2003 invasion of Iraq.[1]
Some hyperbolic media houses shown the doubt of WW III, if Iran responds, as promised. As most of countries are polar in nature.
Of course impact on India will also be noticed especially at economic front, due oil price hike.
US
Department of State announced that President Trump authorized the resumption of International Military Education and Training for Pakistan to strengthen military to military cooperation between the two nations, as per tweet of The Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA).
It is also said that the overall security assistance suspension for Pakistan remains in effect.
Attack on Gurudwara Nankana Sahib, Pak
New Delhi in his statement said “The minority Sikhs have been subjected to acts of violence in
the city, the birthplace of Guru Nanak yesterday, following the abduction and conversion of Sikh girl Jagjit Kaur”.
The mob that attacked the gurdwara was led by Mohammad Imran, the brother of Mohammad Hassan, the man the abducted girl was forcibly married to. The attackers were angry with Jagjit’s brother Manmohan Singh for lodging a police complaint.
A shaken person told to media (TOI) over phone “They have attacked Gurdwara Nankana Sahib and we are either confined to our homes or in gurdwaras.”
Some unverified videos also floated on social media showing this act of violence.
It is the same Grudwara which opened recently in Nov for Indian devotees.
MEA, Union Mins, Harsimrat Badal, H. Puri, Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi, Punjab CM and many other leaders condemned the act of violence.
A group of Sikh community submitted memorandum against it to Pak High Commission, New Delhi.
Amid backlash, Pakistan has issued a statement denying any such incident. Pakistan’s Foreign Office said that there was an altercation near the gurdwara, which have been given a communal light.
Whatever case may be but security of minorities are under severe threat in Pak. [2]
Nevertheless, this has given an opportunity to New Delhi to defend its CAA and attack to opposition who were against it.
