102 infants were reported to die within a month time, in a hospital in Kota (Raj).
However, pediatrician department’s chief Amritlal Bairwa said the 8 kids who died in the last two days of the year were premature deliveries, and not due to not any fault on doctors’ part.
The committee formed after much uproar, in its report concluded that the deaths were reported due to lack of oxygen pipeline in the hospital and extreme cold conditions.

Home Ministry re-organized the Divisions and allocation of Work at the level of Joint Secretary with immediate effect. The Internal Security-II (IS-II) Division is merged with Internal Security-I (IS-1) and its nomenclature will be Internal Security (IS) Division.
